After years of working with creative folks, I’ve noticed a recurring theme.

Of all the things that need to be taken care of - home, business, family, friends, clients - you tend to put yourself at the bottom of this list. You force yourself to do more, faster, achieve higher, double results, and check ALL the boxes on an endless to-do list. You’ve done this so long that you don’t even remember why you took this huge leap to begin with.

When the forest finally appears through the trees, you notice things are off key. You search in all the self-help books, workshops, webinars, any other outside source you can get your hands on for answers. Finally…you’ve GOT IT. You design LARGER, loftier, more audacious goals than the ones you already failed to achieve.

Do me favor?

Stop it.

Stop beating yourself up. Stop stressing yourself out. Stop judging yourself for not being done. Stop comparing yourself to other people - because they are mostly faking it, anyway.

What if I told you that if you got off of the freaking hamster wheel, and treated yourself with as much care as everyone else, you would achieve more? Sounds crazy, right?

Well...a little bit of mindfulness about your work and your life, can go a long, long way.

That’s how I can support you in finding the space to grow. Sometimes this “coaching” concept can be made out to seem way more complex than it needs to be. If you don’t know where your chakras are, which mantras to chant, or how to “manifest your dreams” - you might feel a little left out. Worse yet, you might think that this whole process is a lil too fluffy, too esoteric, too “woo-woo” to actually yield results.

Let me make it plain. Through coaching you can:

  • Expand your creativity

  • Make clearer decisions

  • Communicate more effectively

  • Manage and even prevent stress

  • Increase self awareness

  • Improve work performance

  • Enhance interpersonal relationships

  • Set and achieve meaningful goals

And you can do it all without beating yourself up or working yourself into the ground.

Be your own guru.

For coaching to have any meaningful effect that lasts past the end of a phone call, it has to be a co-creative relationship - that means you have to SHOW UP. My job is to tune into what’s happening, take a look from five thousand feet, and ask a ton of questions to provoke you into deep thought, then action. Together, we’ll create shifts in your mindset that lead to transformative change.

While quick fixes aren’t the primary goal in coaching, or in life, sometimes they happen. My clients typically have immediate insights that impact how they move through the world right away - at work, with family, in business, and in friendships. Then they use those insights to support the rest of the journey.

What really makes me different is my no-bullshit approach. There’s no fluff here; no canned responses or spiritual one-liners that will make you feel like mayyyyybe I just said something deep, but you don’t really know what it means. Nah. I just give it to you straight. We’ll do some work, and it’ll get uncomfortable - but you know what… tell it to a caterpillar. They’ll assure you the discomfort is just what growth feels like. Sometimes you’ll love me for it and sometimes, well… you’ll love me later.

A mirror for your blind spots

During a trip to India, I was gifted a new way to view my work. When I introduced myself as a "coach" to new Hindi-speaking friends, they immediately set out to find the right term in their exquisitely nuanced language. They decided on "aaina-walla" - one who mirrors. I was moved to tears by the beauty and accuracy of it all.

A mirror to reveal your blind spots.

A mirror to reflect back the best parts of yourself.

A mirror to restore parts of you that you haven’t seen, or honored, in a while.

Sure. I’ve got a few ideas on how this life thing works, but in session, I leave my preconceived ideas at the door and show up unattached to any idea or expectation of what you should or should not do.

That’s one of the things that makes coaching different than just talking to a supportive friend. Your friends are great in that they already know you inside out, but they might not be ready to make space for who you’re becoming. That's where I come in.

Each coaching alliance is crafted for you to show up as your - creative, messy, brilliant, non-linear - authentic self.
